A letter from Ray
Why I am running for rockland county Legislator
I grew up in Blauvelt, attended St. Catherine of Alexandria from grades 1-8, graduated from Tappan Zee High School, and later graduated from Pace University with a BA in Accounting. As a current homeowner in Pearl River, I’ve always had a desire to give back to the community that raised me. Currently, I am a member of AOH Division 3, The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Sons of the American Legion Post 329, Knights of Columbus – St. Dominic Council #5343, and the Pearl River Elks Lodge #2041. Professionally, I am a third-generation business owner in Pearl River, serving as VP of Operations at Raymond Sheridan Financial. Formally having worked in several capacities including sales, marketing, and management roles for the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. In my spare time, I’m an avid golfer and play pickup basketball at St. Catherines in Blauvelt every Monday night.
I’m running for County Legislator as a first-time candidate because I believe I can bring a fresh perspective to the county government. I am passionate about making a positive impact in my community and I believe that I can make a difference in the lives of the people in my county. I have a strong background in public service and I am committed to working hard to ensure that the County government is efficient and effective. I am committed to listening to the needs of the people in my County and working to preserve the quality of life Rockland County residents deserve. As a lifelong resident of this community, I have seen firsthand the struggles that many of our families face. I am running for office because I believe that I can make a difference in our community and help create a brighter future for our children. I am committed to fighting for policies that will create jobs, improve our schools, and make our neighborhoods safer. I will work to ensure that our government is transparent and accountable to the people it serves.
Having deep family, business, and community roots in Rockland truly allows for a unique perspective that will be integral in shaping the future of our County for the now and the future. There is much to be done over the course of my campaign, and I look forward to the relationships, experiences, and knowledge that come with it.
